How character colour stays consistent

Cluster people first, colour second: faces are clustered, matched against the series cast, locked colours become a condition on every page, a change of outfit locks only hair and eyes, and your edits are written back to the series.

01
Cluster people first, do not guess per page
Faces across the whole volume are clustered by similarity into a cast list — which is what stops one person being a different colour on every page.
02
Match against the series cast
A character already confirmed elsewhere in the series keeps its locked colours; anything that does not match is listed as new and waits for you.
03
Locked colours become a condition
Hair, eyes, skin and the main outfit are passed down as constraints while each page is coloured, rather than left to the model.
04
A change of outfit locks only what does not change
When a character changes clothes only hair and eye colour stay locked; the clothing is read from that page's own art.
05
Your edits are written back
Colours you correct at the workbench go back to the series cast, so the next volume gets them right first time.
Read it, then go do it — the button below lands on the screen it describes.
